Atom launches Women's Network
Community

We’ve launched the Atom’s Women’s Network; a powerful initiative aimed at championing gender equality and empowering our incredible female employees, as we continue our dedication to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
Why a Women’s Network?
With women making up 42% of our workforce and 51% of our new hires, it’s clear that female talent is a vital part of the Atom family. The Women’s Network will provide a dedicated space for connection, support, and positive change. It’s all about creating a safe and supportive environment where women can share experiences, build relationships, and develop their careers.
This isn’t just a symbolic gesture. The Atom Women’s Network is committed to:
- Empowerment and Connection: Fostering a space for women to share, connect, and grow.
- Career Development: Providing mentorship, skills enhancement, and opportunities for advancement.
- Driving Change: Collaborating with leadership to address challenges and develop inclusive policies.
As Helen Wilson, our Chief Operating Officer, puts it, “This network will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of inclusion and ensuring that women have the support and resources they need to thrive at Atom bank.”
Looking Ahead
This is just the beginning. We’re committed to increasing representation in the technology sector, supporting initiatives like the Anne-Marie Imafidon (AMI) Women in Technology Scholarships at Durham University, and upholding the Women in Finance Charter.
And, as we prepare to move our UK HQ to the iconic Pattern Shop in Newcastle, we’re excited to continue our journey of innovation, inclusion, and flexible working.
